Breaking the band's social media silence, the music video for "Leave It All Behind" was released at midnight on June 19th. While this is the album's first song release, their fifth full-length album (How It Feels To Be Lost) will be on-sale September sixth, though it is on pre-order now. Listening to the song, it is evident how different the album will be. Switching over to a heavier sound has inspired many diverse opinions specifically dealing with wether or not a band should stick to one sound. However, even with these comments made, the band as well as the old and new fans are looking forward to the release of the heavier album and the freedom that comes with letting go of the pressure and constrictions following the unsaid "rules of music." This change in sound not only acts as an inspiration to other artists but to the fans as well to not feel stressed into following what others think they should do. Letting loose and allowing himself to scream rather than sing in their new songs opens the band up for many new paths in the future.

Looking into the lyrics on the first song off of the album, it is clear How It Feels To Be Lost will cover many heavier topics. For example, in verse two:

"Would you be so surprised if I gave up tonight? I'm barely breathing, I wanna kill the pain I feel inside But I won't quit for the people I love."

By mentioning giving up and killing pain, Sleeping With Sirens acknowledges the struggles of life and feels of doubt that come along with it. Feelings like this often come with lost hope which he counteracts with the line "I won't quit for the people I love." This is a crucial line in the heavier song because it allows for that sliver of hope to shine through. Even though these thoughts and feeling may never end, there are people that will love you no matter what. This idea to always keep fighting will most likely be a recurring theme on the album through the songs. For example, songs like Dying To Believe, Break Me Down, and Never Enough are a few examples of that train of thought.
